Community Happenings

Pub Swainswick   1st Friday of the month at 6.30 – 8.30pm

An unusual but very friendly pub with excellent beer. A perfect place to meet up with friends and make new ones with occasional live music from local musicians.  Sometimes it is a small gathering which means more chance to chat properly and sometimes it’s lots of people.   A  church and churchyard with a happy buzz, all ages, all kinds and from all over the parish and beyond.

Children are very welcome. There are usually plenty around, often playing outside in the churchyard or sitting in huddles in the pews.

No pub in September as it will be the annual and justly famous Swainswick Harvest Beerfest on Saturday 8 September.

Bell Ringing

We normally meet on Thursday evenings, from 7 to 8 pm. Complete beginners, novices and experienced ringers are all very welcome.

Sing Swainswick  is taking a summer break

After our summer break, we’re changing the way we get together for Sing Swainswick.  Instead of practising every month, we’ll meet up a few times to learn a song or two for a particular event.  That way, we can hopefully learn more music and people who can’t come on Wednesdays will be able to join in.

If you’d like to be on the Sing Swainswick email list, let me know.
